Well, it's all but official. "Benedict" Specter, "Lucretia" Snowe and "Delilah" Collins have sold out their principles, their party and America to join the Democrats in one of the most stunning rebellions against reason we are likely to see in our time. The three so-called Republican senators were heavily courted by the Anointed One, and the slick talking devil pulled the wool right over their eyes. just like he did with the nation's electorate. Now Americans will be left with the mess they've made.
With the country already a trillion dollars in the red, they are now committing us to borrow three-quarters of a trillion more (not counting the billions in wasted TARP money). Their actions guarantee America's continuance as a multi-trillion dollar debtor for years to come, and that our grandchildren will reap the bitter fruit of their folly. I pray that when the Chinese come to seize our collateral assets, they start with Pennsylvania, Maine and D.C. Perhaps we should replace Mount Rushmore with likenesses of these three Obama stooges.
Another little noticed legacy of their betrayal, is the creation of a national health board that will use "research" to determine which conditions should be treated and by which prodedures. So, I guess when I'm an old diabetic and the jackass Washington bureaucrats decide it isn't "cost-effective" for Medicare to share the cost of my insulin because it doesn't "cure" diabetes, I'll just have to go somewhere and quietly die. But the troika of traitors won't care, because they got their stimulus bill that very likely won't stimulate anything except the Democratic wet dream of a government so big that it runs and owns everything and everybody.
And for the creme de la creme, the three turncoats made sure we got a bill that does NOT mandate that companies using stimulus money must use E-Verify to guarantee that they are not giving jobs meant for out-of-work Americans to illegal aliens. That virtually guarantees that about 300,000 construction jobs, funded with your money and mine (since we'll ultimately have to pay the bill) will go to illegals. Thanks for nothing, morons.
The remedy for this mess is not more government spending. It is getting the irresponsible Democratic majority out of office (along with the terrible triumvirate), and declining to elect Mr. Big Ears to a second term. I'm sure he'll have done enough damage in his first one to last us all a lifetime -- and then some.
